High Desert Shawl – Revisited

A while ago I designed the High Desert Shawl.  I recently decided to knit it again and discovered that the lace chart attached in Ravelry was not the propper chart.  I was stunned, how did I manage to do this?  Anyways, it’s been fixed, everything has been updated and people who have bought this shawl have been contacted and appologized to.

The body is done in a version of garter stitch so that even the beginning knitter could attempt this shawl and the lace bit is really exceptionally easy as far as lace goes.

I only did one lace repeat on this shawl because I only had 350 yds of yarn instead of the needed 440.  I think it’s just as pretty.

The shawl’s dimensions are 28″ deep and 64″ wide which makes it the perfect spring or summertime shawl.  Just large enough to keep you warm but small enough to fit in a purse or beach bag.

And of course it looks fabulous on everyone 🙂
