Channel Islands Shawl Pattern

Now available!

After lots of tweaking and lots of questioning this pattern is now finally up on Ravelry.  It’s a fun and interesting take on your regular shawl using short rows instead of lace to spice up boring stockingnette.  This shawl is a lot easier than it looks and if you knit backwards that much faster!

Using two skeins of sock yarn this amazing shawl is knit from the top down and changes colors every 2 rows.  Using one skein of variegated yarn gets the most bang from your buck but solid colors look great too.

I designed this with the Channel Islands in mind. These non-populated islands off the coast of Southern California are seen in all their glory only on clear days so it was always a treat.  The rippled lace border is reminiscent of the ocean waves and adds a fun and easy finish to this lovely shawl.

You can head over to Ravelry now to purchase this pattern.  Remember, the holiday’s are right around the corner!
