This shawl was one of those knitting projects that was truly born of the yarn. The lovely Mountain Colors River Twist looked so much like handspun that I wanted a relatively easy lace to showcase the lovely colors and texture.
This shawl is easily worked up in any of your favorite worsted or aran weight yarns. Taking approximately 440-500 yards this is a great stash buster project.
This shawl reminded me of the harvested fall fields in the Midwest. The low hills and valleys left by the plow is a time to be thinking about warm and snuggly nights and crisp days. This shawl incorporates a fun and easy lace pattern with a worsted weight yarn so that progress is fast and rewarding. Though light and airy this shawl is certain to keep out the fall chill and add a little extra style to your autumn wardrobe.
